Ayrshire Chamber are hosting an information sharing and information zoom meeting for key tourism stakeholders. The Irish Chambers participating are those in the Greater Dublin Chamber Alliance, South Dublin, Fingal Dublin, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown and Kildare Chambers We will be covering tourism and hospitality after COVID-19.
This is an excellent opportunity to hear from Malcolm Roughead CEO Visit Scotland and Clodagh O’Brien from Crowe (Ireland) on the ongoing support required for the tourism industry and the steps that can and will be taken towards recovery and renewal of the industry.

We will also have Ralph Porciani, GM Trump Turnberry and John O’Farrell, Hotel Manager, Citywest Hotel, who will share their plans and thoughts for reopening.

Malcolm Roughead OBE, was appointed as our Chief Executive in September 2010, having held the position of Director of Marketing since joining us in 2001. Graduating with a degree in Modern Languages from the University of Glasgow, Malcolm has cultivated a rich marketing background. His experience covers a number of international and UK-based marketing roles with companies such as Diageo, Guinness World Records, Guinness in Africa, Nestlé and Beechams.
Malcolm was awarded with the title of ‘Scottish Marketeer of the Year’ at the 2004 Scottish Marketing Awards and in 2005 received an OBE for services to tourism. He’s also a Fellow of the Institute of Direct Marketing and a Fellow and former Chair of the Marketing Society in Scotland.
Clodagh O’Brien is a Partner with Crowe one of Irelands leading consultancy firms. Clodagh holds an honours degree in International marketing and several other qualifications. Clodagh through her work with Crowe has supported private and public sector bodies in their work on areas such as Tourism Strategy and Tourism Development. Drawing on her national and international experience Clodagh will be bringing insights and shared knowledge to the Chamber Tourism seminar.
